Text Message Program

Deforest Solutions sends text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them. This page shows every way to opt in, the message you receive when you do, and how to get help or stop. Messages are about selling your property: replies to your inquiry, scheduling a walkthrough, questions about the property, offer updates, and follow-ups.

Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of any purchase or sale. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt in

1. Website forms

The forms on our home page, contact page, cash offer page and Greg’s card page include three separate checkboxes. All are unchecked by default and optional; the form can be submitted without checking any of them.

Checkbox 1: termsI agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Checkbox 2: transactional or conversationalI agree to receive transactional or conversational communications from Deforest Solutions via text messages and phone calls related to my real estate inquiry, such as property details, responses, and appointment confirmations. Checkbox 3: marketingI agree to receive marketing communications from Deforest Solutions via text messages and phone calls including property offers, promotions, and other real estate-related marketing. Your information is secure and will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

We record which boxes were checked, with the date, time, page, and wording.

2. Texting us first (including from our mailers)

You can opt in by texting us first: text the number printed on one of our letters or postcards, or tap Text Greg on Greg’s card page, the page our postcards’ QR code opens. No keyword is needed. Tapping Text Greg opens a message on your phone that is already written for you, such as “Hi Greg, it’s [your name] about [your property]. I got your postcard and wanted to see if you have time to talk. Thanks!” You can change it or send it as it is, and nothing is sent until you press send.

3. On a phone call

If you speak with Greg by phone, he may ask: "Is it okay if I send you texts about your property?" If you say yes, we note your consent with the date and send one confirmation text. We send no further texts unless you reply YES.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. We also honor UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT. You will receive one final confirmation, then no further texts unless you opt in again:

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers we obtain from any source other than your own opt-in are never enrolled in our text messaging program. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
